I Don't Hate You, Philly

It's not youse, it's me

Mummertime, Mummertime, Mum-Mum-Mummertime: My First Mummers Parade

2014 began with my first Mummers Parade and visit to 2nd Street (pronounced Two Street).

Held in Philadelphia for 113 “official” years now, the Mummers Parade is a long-standing tradition in the city. Year-round preparations go into raising funds, creating costumes and practicing routines. The all-day affair is televised locally and streamed online for the world to watch on New Year’s Day.

Divisions are judged and winners are crowned. Click here for the 2014 results.

Here are some photos from City Hall, South Philly, 2nd (Two) Street and LOVE Park. Enjoy!
